How to Transfer Money From China

1. Sign up for a 'personal' PayPal account. These do not elicit any transaction fees as long as funds are not sent directly via credit card. For example, a person with an existing PayPal balance who sends money to his friend as a gift does not have to pay a fee. However, if he goes to his friends website and purchases something through a PayPal merchant button, he (the merchant) is charged regardless of the funding source. If your recipient does not have a PayPal account, make sure that you tell her to create one.
2. Link a bank account or credit card with your PayPal account. A credit card is generally accepted immediately, while a bank account takes three or more days to confirm. This credit card or bank account acts as your funding source. It is possible to confirm multiple bank accounts and credit cards on the same account.
3. Move funds into your PayPal account. You may do this with a bank account transfer or a credit card withdrawal.
4. Ask your recipient for her PayPal email address (the email she signed up for PayPal with). Click 'send money' and enter her information and your desired transaction amount. Confirm your decision, and your recipient receives the money almost instantly. She is now able to withdraw to her own bank account, request a check, or spend the money online.
