Advantages of a Premier PayPal Account

Subscriptions Enabled
If you offer a product that requires your customers to pay a monthly fee, such as access to an exclusive website, you can request that PayPal automatically send out invoices at the time interval of your choice. If you are running a business, this is a time-saving tool as it eliminates the need to send out all the invoices separately. This is beneficial if you are running your own small business, because saving time can save you money.
Debit Card Provided
When you have a Premier PayPal account, you are issued a PayPal debit card. The debit card allows you to make withdrawals from your PayPal account when you need cash. PayPal also offers a cash back reward for certain purchases made with the card. You can monitor the deposit, withdrawal and transfer of your debit card funds by logging into your regular PayPal account, making it easy to see your expenses.
Multiple Payments
According to PayPal, the Premier account allows you to send out large numbers of payments at once. To make multiple payments, you include the payee's email address, provide the payment amount, specify which currency to make the payment in, verify that you have enough money in your account, and then click 'Mass Pay' to make all the payments at once. Although there are multiple steps to setting up the account, once you have provided all the necessary information it remains in the PayPal system, ready for the next time you need to send out payments. This is also a time-saving process, whether you are managing a business or just looking for a convenient way to pay your bills.
Logging In
The PayPal Premier Account option allows you to have multiple log-ins. This means that if you are running a small business, you can grant your employees partial or total access to your PayPal account. This is useful, for example, if you employ someone to act as a financial secretary in your business. Job duties for a financial secretary include accepting payments, handling money accounts, recording receipts in a ledger book and preparing financial reports, all of which is possible with a PayPal Premier account.

How to Use PayPal in Escrow

1. Ask the other party in your transaction if he is located in the United States. To be able to use PayPal in the transaction, both the seller and the buyer must be in the United States.
2. Agree on a price no greater than $5,000 for the transaction. If the price exceeds $5,000, you usually cannot use PayPal for the transaction.
3. Buy something that must be shipped via a trackable method. PayPal cannot be used in the transaction for items that are not being shipped or that are not trackable, even if they are being shipped.
4. Click on 'PayPal' as your payment method on the transaction screen. The money is taken directly from your PayPal account and put into the escrow account for the transaction.

How to Send Money Fast

Paypal
1. Send your money fast with your PayPal.com account. Assure that your payee has a valid email address that is linked to his own PayPal account (or ask him to open one in order to receive the money---it is a free process).
2. Click the 'Send Money Online' link on the homepage.
3. Enter the recipient's email address and the amount that you want to send. Choose 'Purchase' or 'Personal.
4. Log in to your PayPal account (or sign up for a new one). Pay with a credit or debit card---the money will be sent to the recipient's email and PayPal account instantly. He can use his Paypal debit card to withdraw the cash immediately or do a direct deposit to his account, which will take about three days. He will pay a fee of about 3 percent for the transaction.
Money Transfer Service
5. Go to your local MoneyGram or Western Union location to send money to your recipient immediately. You will most likely find one of these instant money transfer locations at a major supermarket or check cashing store. You can also go online to the company's website to send money fast.
6. Fill out a form with your recipient's name, city and state and pay the clerk the money you would like to transfer. You will also have to include a password that the recipient must recite in order to receive the funds.
7. Call the recipient to tell him the password listed on the application so that he can retrieve the money from a corresponding MoneyGram or Western Union location in his area. You will pay about $10 to $30 for this service depending on the amount.
Overnight Shipping
8. Purchase a money order from the post office or a store that offers them (costs about $1). Money orders usually clear faster than checks.
9. Visit the post office or shipping location early in the day, preferably before 10 a.m., to assure that the money order will be eligible for next-day delivery.
10. Ship your money order via Express (overnight) mail, which costs about $15 to $20. Request early morning delivery if that is an option---some services can only guarantee afternoon delivery. There are also same-day shipping services offered by companies like UPS and FedEx, but be prepared to spend as much as $100 for that convenience.
11. Be sure that your recipient knows to be home to receive the money order; if not, the shipping service may hold the package at the location, which could delay receipt by at least a day.

Advantages amp; Disadvantages of Using PayPal

Advantage: Trusted
Many shoppers are, possibly wisely, wary about providing their credit card or checking account information to businesses with which they are not familiar online. Because PayPal acts as an intermediary -- a customer's account information never reaches a website owner -- shoppers may buy your wares using PayPal without worrying that their accounts will be compromised.
Disadvantage: Locked Accounts
Because of security issues and U.S. regulations enacted to limit the transfer of money to terrorists, PayPal sometimes freezes an account because of a suspicious circumstance. Accounts may be temporarily frozen because of suspected security breaches, or for a longer term as PayPal investigates potential improprieties. Accounts may be frozen for months on end, leaving merchants without the ability to extract the funds in their account.
Advantage: Easy to Implement
Setting up a secure e-commerce website can be tricky and expensive. Many businesses with a small web design budget opt to use PayPal as a payment option simply because of its ease of use. PayPal provides the widgets a website operator plugs into a page, and PayPal code takes care of the rest, directing users to a secure server, creating invoices and managing the funds transfer.
Disadvantage: Corporate Access to Your Bank Account
Although PayPal serves as a buffer between the general public and privately held bank accounts, its terms of use provide it access to its holders accounts. Because of this, the service may deduct funds from your bank account without your authorization if charge-back conditions are met by customers.
Advantage: Free to Implement
Although PayPay claims a portion of every payment made to you by your customers as a transaction fee, it allows small businesses to use its services otherwise without charge. Larger businesses may choose to operate under its Website Payments Pro plan, which allows payments to be made directly on your website without a redirect to the PayPal page for $30 per month as of December 2010.
Disadvantage: No Outside Arbritration
If businesses have a dispute with PayPal over charges of fraud, account freezes or other administrative problems, they have little resource. PayPal's terms of service grant the company dominion over all funds in its possession, and investigations into charges may be performed without having to provide documentation to account holders.

How to Buy Movie Tickets With a PayPal Account

Fund PayPal Account
PayPal accounts must be funded prior to making a movie ticket purchase. PayPal accounts may be funded in several ways. Some merchants who sell online receive payments through PayPal, as do some people who work online. Those who do not receive payments via PayPal can fund their account through a deposit from their primary bank account.
Apply for PayPal Debit Card
Although a PayPal account will allow users to purchase items and services at many online merchants, movie tickets cannot be purchased with only a traditional PayPal account. Apply for a PayPal debit card at its website (see Resources). This debit card allows users to make purchases anywhere that MasterCard and Visa are accepted and will draw funds directly from the PayPal account to which it is linked.
Enter PayPal Card Information
Visit a website on the Internet that allows for purchase of advance movie tickets online using a PayPal debit card, such as Fandango and MovieTickets.com. Select the movie tickets desired, choose 'Credit or Debit Card' for method of purchase and enter the PayPal debit card information.

How Do Paypal Payments Work?

PayPal Basics
PayPal is one of the world's most popular online payment methods, with more than 100 million accounts. Through PayPal, any individual or business with an email address can transfer money online. PayPal can be used to make monetary donations, purchase goods or services through online merchants, or to pay for items won on auction sites such as eBay.
Infrastructure
Transferring money via PayPal provides additional security because PayPal acts as the middleman between the sender and the recipient. Bank account or credit card information is provided directly to PayPal, rather than exchanged between a buyer and seller. All payments are made through PayPal's encrypted software to ensure an added layer of security. PayPal handles all interchange fees charged by banks and credit card companies when payments are sent, and makes the money back by deducting a small amount from money that it transfers into recipients' accounts.
Account Requirements
To use PayPal, a user must first set up a free account at www.PayPal.com. The user must enter a name, address, email address and phone number, then provide a login name, password, and the answers for two security questions. Adding credit card or bank account information is optional, but necessary if the user wants to make online purchases or transfer monies received into a checking or savings account. After signing up, the user will receive an email confirmation that outlines terms of use and explains the account verification process.
Sending and Receiving Funds
To send funds with PayPal, the user may log in to his account and click 'Send Funds.' PayPal will request the email address of the person receiving the money, and send a notification to the recipient that she has received a payment. If you have forgotten which email address you used, go to the PayPal homepage and click on 'forgot email address.' Can I Deposit Directly Into My PayPal Account?

Starting With PayPal
When users sign up for a PayPal account they link their bank account, credit card or debit card to their PayPal account. Users can then use their PayPal account to pay for items instead of using their actual credit card information. This adds an extra level of security for the customer.
Adding Money
There are many ways to add money to a PayPal account. Users who sell items can choose to be paid via PayPal, which increases the balance of their account. Users can also use a MoneyPak to add funds directly to their PayPal accounts. As of 2010, depositing checks directly to a PayPal account is not an option.
PayPal Security
Many people worry about the security of depositing money to their PayPal account. Fortunately, PayPal has an extensive security system that includes heavy encryption. It is generally not possible to discover bank account or credit card information through PayPal. Users can increase the security of their PayPal deposits by choosing complex passwords for their accounts.

How to Transfer Money From E

1. Use an exchanger such as Plus Convert, which has its own website and offers to convert E-Gold money into Paypal funds. The Digital Point forums also have some users willing to convert the funds for you, as do the Money Maker Group forums.
2. Ask the exchanger more about the process, including the percentage he charges. An exchanger charges a percentage of the total amount as his fee for doing the conversion. This percentage is usually around 5 percent to 10 percent, though some charge a lower rate.
3. Read the feedback from the person or service, especially if you're using one of the forums. Digital Point and Money Maker Group have areas where users can talk and discuss with other users. If you're using a specific website for the exchange, look for the terms of service and ask any questions you might have first.
4. Contact the exchanger about the deal. You must send the exchanger your E-Gold username, Paypal email address and the total amount you want exchanged. The exchanger then contacts you with the details on when you send your money and when you'll receive the money back.
5. Send the payment to the exchanger, using your E-Gold account. The exchanger will take his percentage, then send the amount left over to your Paypal account, using the email address you supplied. Depending on the exchanger, it may take a few hours or up to several days before the funds appear in your account.

What Are the Benefits of PayPal?

Low Cost
Should two PayPal users decide to transfer money between their accounts, they're able to do so at no cost. PayPal does not charge for personal transfers. This includes purchases made online. If you make a payment to someone's PayPal account from your own PayPal account, there is no cost to you. There are minimal fees for the recipient. For example, as of 2010, if you receive payment as part of a purchase made using PayPal, the company charges a fee of 1.9 to 2.9 percent, plus 30 cents.
Security
PayPal works as an account separate from your bank account. You transfer money into your PayPal account from your bank account, and vice versa. This gives your PayPal account a high level of security, particularly when you're paying for an online purchase. When you pay for an online purchase using PayPal, the retailer does not see your bank account or credit card number.
Ease of Use
PayPal is a relatively simple system to use, even when transferring money in and out of your bank account. For example, transferring money to your account takes only a few clicks. Your bank account is linked to your PayPal account, so all you have to do is decide how much to transfer. The process takes five to seven days. Similarly, since your two accounts are linked, you can pay for purchases from your PayPal account without having to transfer money into it. PayPal will take it directly from your linked bank account, saving you time and effort.

How To Do A Fundraiser For A Cancer Patient

Fund-raiser for a Cancer Patient
1. Get permission. You might be really excited to organize a fund-raiser. Before you begin, get the cancer patient's approval. He might be unwilling to accept charity or will be embarrassed to share his story. The cancer patient will probably be grateful that you offered to devote so much time to his cause, regardless of whether a fund-raiser is needed. Also make sure that the burden doesn't fall on the patient because his job is to get well. Take care of the tiny details because he might not even be healthy enough to be in attendance.
2. Organize a team. This is essential to hold a fund-raiser for a cancer patient. The more people you get involved, the more work you can get done. There are probably many family friends and coworkers who wish that they could do something to help. You can even get kids involved to teach them about charitable giving and service. A fund-raiser is a chance for the support system to bond and form a team. It will also help fight feelings of helplessness. Respect the person if he doesn't have time or is serving in another way.
3. Offer a service that will appeal to the general public. In order to raise money you will need to provide a service. This can be anything from a baked goods sale to a car wash. This way, complete strangers will stop and you'll have the chance to tell them the cancer patient's story.
4. Change your idea of fund-raising. Creative ideas might get more attention and draw a bigger crowd to your cancer fund-raiser. Use your talents, whatever they might be. You can even throw a concert and charge admission. Write personalized love poems for Valentine's Day or organize a dance.
5. Do old-fashioned advertising. Call local newspapers and the news media. These organizations might donate free advertising to your event and will enable you to get the word out on a massive scale.
6. Involve the entire world. Create a blog showcasing the patient's story. This can act as a hub for the volunteers to keep in touch easily. Bloggers may rally around you and help spread the word to all their readers. Cancer survivors can also leave comments of encouragement for the patient. Set up a PayPal account just for the patient where people from all around the world can donate. PayPal even provides a donate button so people can securely send money without worrying about identity theft.
7. Keep track of the cash. You never know how much money you'll make with a cancer fund-raiser. Make sure that the money is kept in a secure location. Have two or three people in charge of frequent accounting. This will keep any of the money from being misplaced.
8. Follow through. It can take weeks or even months of hard work to organize a successful fund-raiser. When you start to get frustrated or tired, remind yourself that you are doing this for your friend.

How to Build a Free Website With PayPal Integration

1. Obtain a domain name. This is the first step of establishing any website. This is what your site will be known as on the Internet. Your domain name can be obtained through a website building solution, such as Weebly.com, for free as long as you don’t mind having the web building solution’s name attached. For example, by choosing a free domain name from Weebly, you agree to use an open name in Weebly’s domain. Your wbsite’s name will look something like this: ABCsite.weebly.com.
2. Start your page design work. It is best to begin designing your site on paper. You should have a good idea of what you want to do with your page before you begin designing it electronically. You should also decide what purpose you want your site to have. Do you simply want to educate individuals when it comes to your area of expertise, or would you rather engage other experts in a discussion board-type of environment? Web building sites will allow you to design your pages however you choose and have a multitude of templates to help you accomplish your goals; the simple walk-through tutorial makes sure that you don’t miss anything critical, such as adding a site description for search engines and keywords.
3. Begin building your pages. After you have decided what you want your site to offer, begin building your pages online. Simply drag and drop individual templates into place and then begin editing the information contained in those templates. Your website will begin to take shape in no time. When you get to the pages that will be used in conjunction with a PayPal buy button or donation button, instead of dragging and dropping a basic template, switch to the revenue option and drag and drop a Product element into your page. You will need to connect your PayPal account to the website you are building. Simply edit your preferences in your account and add your PayPal account information. If you do not have a PayPal account, sign up for a free one at www.paypal.com.
4. Upload photographs of your products. Some site builders allow you to upload photographs of your products and add them to your Product elements. This is an extremely useful function since most customers like to see what they are buying. Take pictures of your products with a digital camera, transfer your pictures to your computer through its USB connection and then upload them to your website through the picture upload utility in the Product element.
5. Keep your content fresh. There is nothing that turns away users faster than stale content. You need to provide new and useful information and products often to keep customers coming back. You can incorporate some of your users’ questions into content if you need ideas for new articles.

PayPal Procedures

Setting Up an Account
To get started with a PayPal account, visit the website (see Resources) and click the 'Sign Up' button. PayPal is available in many different countries but you can only have one account per country and cannot combine accounts for different countries, so select the country in which you live and maintain your business. The set-up form will ask you a number of questions, including your street address, bank account information and other personal information. Answer everything truthfully as you will need to verify your account if you plan on using PayPal for business transactions. Many credit card companies use address verification when making a transaction and this is the information that PayPal will use in those circumstances. To verify your PayPal account, you will need to link it to your bank account and then follow the instructions provided. PayPal will make two small deposits into your account and you will need to log in and provide the exact amounts in order to prove that the account is yours.
Making a Payment
To make a payment to a company or person, you will need to log into your account and select 'Make a Payment.' Input the email address of the person you wish to pay, the amount you want to send them and the source of the funds (your credit card, linked bank account or your PayPal balance if you have one) and then hit 'Send.' Sometimes when shopping online a merchant will have a PayPal button already on their website. You just click that button and you will be directed to the PayPal site where you can log in and complete your transaction. Sending and receiving money through PayPal is usually nearly instantaneous.
Receiving Money
Friends, family, clients and other parties can send you money simply by logging into PayPal and using the email address that you provided when you signed up for your account. The funds will be transferred to your PayPal account and you can access them by transferring them into your bank account or you can apply for a PayPal debit card that gives you access to your balance from any ATM or credit card machine. This is a great way to use your funds for shopping online securely when you don't want to use your regular credit cards or banking information.
Fees and Disputes
It is free to send and receive money in most cases when using your account balance or bank account from the PayPal website in the United States. Fees apply when using your credit or debit card or when you request money from someone using the website. These fees vary by the size of the transaction, and current rate information can be found on the website. You will also be charged if you are receiving money for goods or services. If you have a transaction dispute, either because you did not receive the product or service that you paid for or you feel that the charges are in error, you can alert PayPal through their Security Center or Help menu on the website. PayPal will investigate the claim and potentially refund your account while debiting the other party.

How to Stop a Bank From Paying an IRS Levy

1. Seek a hardship release if the levy poses an economic hardship. You qualify for hardship if you were served notice of eviction or foreclosure or if you have a notice of utility disconnect. The IRS will then release the amount necessary to prevent the loss of your home or utility service. In some cases, this is not a full release, depending on the sum in your account when the levy attached.
2. Ask your bank if it has a specific levy or legal processing department. Get a fax number for the department. Most local branches do not process levy releases, so you can gain faster access to your funds having the IRS fax a release to the proper department.
3. Complete Form 433-F. This requests information regarding your personal income, expenses, household members and assets.
4. Gather documents to support items claimed. You will need to provide support for any items listed on your financial form, including your notices proving hardship.
5. Call the Automated Collection System at 800-829-3903. Enter your Social Security number when prompted and wait to speak to an agent. Hold times will vary. Reserve ample time to make the phone call and have access to a fax machine to send your documents.
6. Request a release of levy based on hardship. Explain to the agent taking your call that the bank levy is causing hardship. The agent will ask for documents indicating hardship and take the financial form information over the phone.
7. Fax documents supporting hardship. The agent will receive your documents and make a decision regarding the levy release. If the levy is released, ask the agent to fax the release to your bank.

Understanding How PayPal amp; eBay Work Together

EBay
EBay is a website where you can buy and sell almost anything. Some of the items sold through eBay are used while others come straight from manufacturers. To make transactions on eBay, you must set up an eBay account; the process is free. One of the most widely used methods of payment on eBay is PayPal.
PayPal
PayPal is a secure payment portal available on the eBay website. PayPal is owned by eBay, but the two companies function independently. To use PayPal as a payment method or to accept PayPal as payment, you must create a PayPal account using the PayPal website. Setting up an account is free.
Shipping Information
When selling an item on eBay, it is possible to create and print shipping labels, insure the package, arrange for package pickup and track the item shipped by using the linked services of eBay and PayPal. EBay has applications for all these if you wish to send an item through the United States Postal Service (USPS). You can also arrange to have postage automatically paid through PayPal. If you ship through UPS, you can print UPS shipping labels.
Transferring Funds
Transfer money from a PayPal account by using the 'Bank Accounts' link on the PayPal website and inputting your bank account information. The account information is encrypted for security so that the buyer or seller you are doing business with cannot see the name of your financial institution. You may use multiple accounts. You may also transfer funds from a bank account into PayPal for eBay purchases.
Paying EBay Fees
When listing an item to sell on the eBay website, there is a listing fee involved. Fees will vary depending on the selling category or item to be sold. If you add special features to the listing such as a bold heading or an enlarged photo, there are additional fees. Typically, the fees will range from 20 to 30 cents. Once the item sells, there is a final value fee, which is typically around 8 percent of the total sale price. PayPal may be used to pay these fees. There is an option to have the fees automatically withdrawn from your PayPal account each month if you are a frequent eBay seller.

How to Pay for an eBay Item Through a Different PayPal Account

1. Go to eBay by following the link in Resources. You can make payments via PayPal directly from eBay without typing the PayPal address into your browser.
2. In the toolbar, click 'My eBay.'
3. Log into your eBay account (if you are not already). Remember that this is done using your eBay account information, not your PayPal account information.
4. Look for the reminders of transactions for which you must leave feedback, followed by products you must still pay for. If you have won an auction, this is where you can choose to pay for your item. Select the 'Pay Now' link.
5. Choose the option to pay via PayPal. This will take you to a page that asks you for your PayPal account name and password.
6. Log into PayPal from this page using the PayPal account you wish to use to make your payment. This does not have to be your primary PayPal account; it can actually be done from any account for which you have a username and password.
7. Confirm the price you are paying. Your payment will be sent to the seller. This will mark your purchase as paid for in your eBay account.

How to Transfer Money From China

1. Sign up for a 'personal' PayPal account. These do not elicit any transaction fees as long as funds are not sent directly via credit card. For example, a person with an existing PayPal balance who sends money to his friend as a gift does not have to pay a fee. However, if he goes to his friends website and purchases something through a PayPal merchant button, he (the merchant) is charged regardless of the funding source. If your recipient does not have a PayPal account, make sure that you tell her to create one.
2. Link a bank account or credit card with your PayPal account. A credit card is generally accepted immediately, while a bank account takes three or more days to confirm. This credit card or bank account acts as your funding source. It is possible to confirm multiple bank accounts and credit cards on the same account.
3. Move funds into your PayPal account. You may do this with a bank account transfer or a credit card withdrawal.
4. Ask your recipient for her PayPal email address (the email she signed up for PayPal with). Click 'send money' and enter her information and your desired transaction amount. Confirm your decision, and your recipient receives the money almost instantly. She is now able to withdraw to her own bank account, request a check, or spend the money online.

How Long Does it Take PayPal to Transfer to a Bank Account?

Linking Your Bank Account
Before making a transfer from PayPal to a bank account, you must first link the account to PayPal. After logging in to PayPal, click on 'Profile.' At this point, different customers will see different screens as PayPal changes their system. If you see 'Bank Accounts,' click on that, and then on 'Add Bank.' If you see 'My Money,' click on it; then click on 'Add my bank' under 'Bank Accounts.' Next enter the information for your bank account in either case. Confirm your information, or click 'Continue' and then confirm, depending on your screen. Once you finish, the linking is instantaneous if you have online banking. Otherwise, you must wait a few days for the link to become active.
Making a Transfer
When you transfer money from PayPal to your bank account by a regular withdrawal, PayPal states that the money will arrive in your account in three or four business days. First, log in to your account at PayPal.com. Click on the 'Withdraw' button, and then click on 'Transfer to Bank Account.' Enter the amount you wish to transfer. Click on 'Continue,' and then on 'Submit.'
Checking for Arrival of Your Funds
Check online whether the bank has received your funds and counts them as available before attempting to write a check or withdraw them. If you do not bank online, check by phone, at the ATM or in person. Since PayPal only counts business days in the two to three days estimated arrival time, weekends and holidays may delay your funds. Occasionally, your funds may arrive sooner.
Using a PayPal Debit Card
If you cannot wait for three or four days for your PayPal money to arrive in your bank, you can access your funds with a PayPal debit card. If you do not have one, apply online for the card using the link in Resources. Wait for your card to arrive in the mail. Then you can make purchases with the card anywhere you can use MasterCard, with a limit of $3,000 daily.
Making Cash Withdrawals by Debit Card
You can also use your PayPal debit card to withdraw $400 in cash from your PayPal account each day at an ATM. Once you have the cash in hand, deposit it in a bank account if you wish. You will pay a fee of $1 for an ATM withdrawal in the United States. If you need to sign for a withdrawal, PayPal charges $3. Foreign ATM withdrawals require an additional 1 percent fee plus a 2.5 percent fee if PayPal converts currencies.
