PayPal accounts must be funded prior to making a movie ticket purchase. PayPal accounts may be funded in several ways. Some merchants who sell online receive payments through PayPal, as do some people who work online. Those who do not receive payments via PayPal can fund their account through a deposit from their primary bank account.
Apply for PayPal Debit Card
Although a PayPal account will allow users to purchase items and services at many online merchants, movie tickets cannot be purchased with only a traditional PayPal account. Apply for a PayPal debit card at its website (see Resources). This debit card allows users to make purchases anywhere that MasterCard and Visa are accepted and will draw funds directly from the PayPal account to which it is linked.
Enter PayPal Card Information
Visit a website on the Internet that allows for purchase of advance movie tickets online using a PayPal debit card, such as Fandango and MovieTickets.com. Select the movie tickets desired, choose 'Credit or Debit Card' for method of purchase and enter the PayPal debit card information.
