How to Accept eChecks With PayPal

1. Register for an account at the PayPal website, selecting the link on top of the homepage that says, 'Sign Up.' On the next page, input your country and language. Click the 'Get Started' button under the account type you would like to sign up for. An email address is required for registration.
2. Type the information PayPal requires on the account registration page. In this step, PayPal also asks you to select a password. Your email address becomes your user name. Click the 'Agree and Create Account' button.
3. Log in to your PayPal account. Click the 'Profile' link to add your bank account information. A bank account linked to PayPal lets you make payments directly from the account. It also gives you the option of telling PayPal to deposit payments, such as an eCheck. Under the 'Products & Services' link, apply for a PayPal debit card if you want to tap into your funds that way.
4. Check your email for a message from PayPal telling you that someone has sent you a payment. Click the PayPal link embedded in the body of the message. Type your user name and password to log in to your account. Confirm the credit to your balance. Do nothing else if you want the money to stay deposited with PayPal. Use the money to settle debts with individuals and businesses that accept PayPal payments.
5. Click the 'Withdraw' link on your account page. Opt to withdraw funds to your bank account or to have them transferred to your debit card. Another option is for PayPal to mail you a check for the amount of the eCheck, minus a $1.50 service fee.
