How Can I Use PayPal When My Money Is Stuck in It

PayPal Merchants
1. Launch your browser, type 'www.paypal-shopping.com' in the address bar and press the 'Enter' key. Select a shopping category in the left-hand directory or click a featured merchant in the main window.
2. Select an item or a gift card option from the desired merchant and choose the PayPal purchase option during the checkout process. Purchasing a gift card from one of your favorite merchants such as Sears, eBay or Restaurant.com provides more direct access to PayPal funds as well as seasonal bonus rewards.
3. Log into your PayPal account when prompted during checkout and authorize payment to the merchant using your current PayPal balance.
Transfer to Bank Account
4. Log onto your PayPal account and click the 'My Account' tab.
5. Click the 'Profile' link and select the option 'Add or Edit Bank Account.' If you don't have a checking account listed, click the 'Add Bank' button and enter your checking account information. Check that PayPal registers the bank account status as 'Confirmed' before proceeding to the next step.
6. Click the 'Withdraw' link and then select the option 'Transfer to Bank Account.'
7. Type the desired amount in the field next to 'Amount.' If you want to withdraw the entire PayPal balance, type the amount next to 'From this balance.' Confirm that your desired bank account is listed next to the 'To' field before clicking the 'Continue' button. Click the 'Submit' button to confirm the transaction and the estimated time frame for the transfer to be completed.
PayPal Debit Card
8. Log onto your PayPal account, click the 'My Account' tab and the 'Profile' link.
9. Click the 'PayPal Debit Card' link under the 'Financial Information' column and click the 'Change' link next to 'Backup Payment Settings' for that card. Set your checking account as your backup payment method and, if desired, adjust your daily spending limit and daily ATM limit. Save these settings.
10. Click the 'Change PIN' option for the card, set a new ATM PIN and save this setting before logging out of your PayPal account.
11. Present your PayPal debit card at a merchant to pay for a purchase as a credit card transaction or go to a local ATM machine and use your PayPal debit card to withdraw funds as cash. PayPal charges a fee for all debit and ATM transactions that require entering a PIN and limit the daily amount according to the account limits set in Step 3.
