How to Deposit Money to PayPal
1. Sign in to your PayPal account by providing the email address that is associated with your account and the password. Click on the “Log In” button. This will open the “My Account Overview” page.
2. Transfer money from your bank account. You can easily add money to your account from most U.S. banks. All you need is either a checking or savings account. Click on the “Add Money” link that you will find at the upper-left side of the overview page. Select the link “Add Money From Bank Account." If you have not previously added a financial institution to your PayPal account, do so by following directions provided in Step 3. If you already have at least one account listed, it will be shown on the “From” drop-down box. If this is your situation, then skip ahead to Step 4.
3. Add a bank account to your PayPal account. You must link a checking or savings account (or both) in order for you to be able to deposit money. Click on the “Add Bank Account” link provided. You will need to supply a bank name and account type (checking or savings). Next, type in the routing number and account number. When you have finished, click on the “Continue” button. You will have to confirm your account prior to being able to use it. Click on “Profile,” “Bank Accounts” and then “Confirm.”
4. Transfer funds from your bank account. To deposit money into your PayPal account, select the account you want to use. Type in the amount you want to transfer and then click on the “Continue” button. You will see the balance on your PayPal account adjusted to include the money deposited.
5. Use your PayPal Plus credit card to deposit funds. If you have a PayPal Plus credit card, you are able to instantly transfer money from it to your account. This is a credit card offered by PayPal for which you must qualify.
