How to Close a PayPal Dispute
1. Open a dispute within the PayPal website by clicking the 'Resolution Center' tab at the top of your account page. You must do this within 45 days of the payment date of the disputed transaction.
2. Communicate with the other party involved in the dispute. The two of you have 20 days to resolve the issue. PayPal will review all communication and may use the information if the dispute becomes a claim.
3. Close the dispute when you and the other party settle the matter. Click the 'Resolution Center' tab again and click 'View Open Cases.' Choose the 'Close' option from the list of actions available beside the open dispute.
4. If you and the other party are unable to come to an agreement, you will need to escalate the dispute to a claim.
