1. Open a PayPal account. To open a PayPal account, visit PayPal.com and click on the link titled 'Sign Up.' Click on 'Personal' if you will primarily make purchases, as opposed to sales over the Internet. Choose 'Premier' if you are an individual who will make both sales and purchases over the Internet and 'Business' if you are a corporation.
