How to Buy Second Life Linden Dollars

1. Create a Second Life account, if you don't already have one. You must have an account to purchase Linden dollars. Go to secondlife.com and click 'Join Now.' Select an avatar, choose a name and enter your email address, password and security question. Click 'Create Account.'
2. Go to the LindeX exchange website, which you can find at 'secondlife.com/my/lindex.' Enter your username and password then click 'Login.'
3. Click the 'Account' button on the left side of the page. Choose 'Billing Information' from the list of options that appear. Click 'Update Credit Card Info' to go to a screen where you can enter your credit card information. Click 'Continue to PayPal' to log in to your Paypal account and link it to your Second Life account.
4. Click 'Buy L$' from the list of items on the left side of the page.
5. Type in the amount of Linden dollars you want to buy into the 'Quantity of $L' box, or type in the amount of American dollars you want to spend into the 'Approximate Cost in US$' box. The total cost -- in U.S. dollars and including the transaction fee -- will appear below the text boxes. Click 'Buy Now!' to make your purchase.
6. Enter your username and password again, then click 'Login.'
7. Click the 'Place Buy Order' button to complete the transaction. Once the Linden Exchange finds a seller for you, your order will be complete and your Linden dollars will show up in your account.
