PayPal functions much like a bank account. A person can receive money from others through an emailed transfer, which he can then let sit in his PayPal account or withdraw into another bank account.
Options
A credit card is not needed to open a PayPal account or to receive money. A person may need a credit card if he does not want to verify his account or link it to his bank account.
Types
There are several account options through PayPal. Business and premier accounts are designed for people who sell products online, while personal accounts are for people who do online shopping or need a way to receive money through email.

How to Find My Bank Account Number

1. Look on one of your checks for your bank account number. Most checks have three sets of numbers along the bottom. The first, a nine-digit number that starts with a line and colon, is the bank routing number. The shortest number, a four-digit number that is usually last, is the check number. Your account number, which is 12 digits beginning with three zeroes, is usually in between the routing number and the check number. In most cases, you are only asked to provide the last nine digits and you can omit the leading zeroes.
2. Look on your bank statement for your account number if you do not have a check handy. Unless you opt out of it, most banks send an account statement every month. Your account number will usually be located at the top of this statement and will be easily identified.
3. Call or visit your bank to obtain your account number, if this is easier than finding a check or statement. When visiting the bank, you will need identification to receive your information. Some banks let you access your account online, where you can find your account number if you know your user name and password.

How to Refund Through PayPal Virtual Terminal

1. Void authorizations from within PayPal's Virtual Terminal. Click the transaction's ID number on the 'Transaction Confirmation' page, then click its 'Details' button. Select 'Void' and confirm that you would like to void the credit card authorization by clicking 'Void' on the 'Confirm Void' page.
2. Process the refund within 60 days of payment from within your PayPal account. Go to the 'History' tab and find the transaction you wish to refund. Click its 'Details button, then click 'Issue Refund' on that transaction's detail page. Issue a refund by entering a full or partial refund amount and comment for clarity if necessary. Click 'Continue' to view the 'Review And Process Refund' page, confirm that the amount is correct and click 'Issue Refund' to send the money back to your customer.
3. Send money back to a customer if the refund occurs more than 60 days after the original transaction date. Log in to PayPal, select the 'Send Money' tab then enter your customer's details along with the amount you are refunding. Click 'Continue' to view the confirmation page and press the 'Send Money' button.

3. Type in the routing and bank numbers from your checking account (you can find this information on the bottom of your check). Select the amount of money you would like to transfer into your PayPal account. It will take several business days for the funds to appear in your account.
4. Click 'Withdraw' and 'Transfer to Bank Account' when the money appears on your account.
5. Select 'Add bank account.' From here type in the checking information of the bank account in Norway you want to send the money to for free.

According to PayPal's Help Center, having a PayPal membership for more than six months can help stop payment holds. Build up a satisfactory track record with PayPal to avoid payment holds.
2. Provide buyers with great service. Disputes with your buyers cause PayPal to hold payments. Practice good customer communication and deliver your products promptly. A complaint filed with PayPal automatically results in a hold on your payment that will remain until the dispute is resolved. If a dispute is filed, respond immediately with all information requested by PayPal.
3. Offer low-risk products. According to PayPal's Help Center, sales of certain products labeled as high-risk trigger a hold on payment. PayPal defines high-risk transactions as transactions likely to result in a dispute, such as ticket or electronic sales. Even without disputes, PayPal can hold your payment for these items for as many as 21 days.
4. Encourage your buyers to leave positive feedback for eBay sales involving PayPal. Positive feedback or confirmation of delivery stops a PayPal payment hold on that transaction. PayPal release payments within 24 hours for positive feedback and within three days after delivery confirmation.
