1. Set up an account at the PayPal website (paypal.com). All you need is an email address. The person to whom you are sending the money must also have a PayPal account to receive the funds.
2. Sign into your PayPal account and decide how you want to send the money. If you already have a PayPal account, you may have a balance from which you can withdraw. If not, click the "My Account" tab, hover over "Profile" and add your bank account or credit card if you haven't done so already.
3. Click the "Send Money" tab once you have input your information. Place the recipient's email address or cellphone number in the first input box and how much you want to transfer in the second.
