How to Raise PayPal#039;s Spending Limit Without a Credit Card


1. Log into your PayPal account. You're taken to the 'My Account' main screen.
2. Hover your mouse cursor over the 'Profile' option in the toolbar, located just below the blue tabs at the top of the screen.
3. Click 'Add or Edit Bank Account.'
4. Click the yellow 'Add Bank' button. You're taken to a screen where you're prompted to enter your bank account information.
5. Click the radio button next to 'Savings' or 'Checking,' depending on what type of account you're linking. Enter the account's routing and account number in the fields provided, then click 'Continue.'
6. Enter your online banking user name and password to have PayPal verify your account immediately, or choose to have PayPal make two deposits into your bank account.
7. Wait for PayPal to make the deposits. It may take a couple of days. Jot down the amount of the deposits.
8. Log back into your PayPal account and click 'Unverified/Confirm Bank Account' at the top of your main 'My Account' page.
9. Type the deposit amounts into the two fields provided.
10. Answer the phone when PayPal's authentication service calls to finish verifying your information and lift your spending limits.
