What Is PayPal?

Function
Like the title of the website, PayPal is used to pay for goods on the internet. When users sign up for an account, they link their PayPal account to a checking or savings account and can deposit, withdraw, or send money to other PayPal owners. This is very beneficial for businesses that operate with telecommuting employees because they can send the payments directly to the employees without having to issue checks.
Types
The website has three general options that can be broken down into more specific categories. When you withdraw money, you can send it directly to your bank account within 3-5 business days, request a check from PayPal, or sign up for a PayPal Debit Card and use an ATM to instantly get your funds.
Sending money requires the other person to have an account with PayPal, and there are four listed reasons for sending money. They are Goods, eBay items, Services, or a cash advance.
Benefits
PayPal can also be used to shop online, and the website offers valuable tools to help you from getting scammed out of your credit card information. PayPal will store your debit or credit card information, but when you want to purchase something from an outside source, the staff will issue you a card number that is only good for that transaction. This prevents anyone from stealing valuable information.
Misconceptions
Many people think that it costs money to use PayPal, but only certain features on the website cost money. For example, if you are selling products on eBay and a customer wants to pay using a debit or credit card, then you will have to pay a small fee to accept this payment. Website owners can also set up PayPal payments on their websites, but the transactions do cost a small fee.
History
PayPal was started in 1999 as an easy way for people to send and receive money. The U.S. government challenged some of the aspects of the website, and it was even banned in some states. PayPal quickly cleared its image, though, and was eventually purchased by eBay for over one billion dollars. The website is now run by eBay and is one of the easiest ways to exchange money online.

How to Determine My PayPal Address

1. Go to Paypal.com and log in to your account. If you do not remember your login details, click 'Problem with Login,' located below the login fields. Click 'I don't know what email address I used' and enter up to three potential addresses to check for a match.
2. Point to 'Profile' in Paypal's top menu and select 'Add or Edit Email.'
3. Look through the list to see the email addresses you have configured. The one whose status is marked as 'Primary' is obviously your primary email address. Click the circle next to another email address and click 'Make Primary' to change your primary address. Click 'Remove' to remove the address. You can also click 'Add' to add another email address.

How to Open a New Ebay Account After Your Account Has Been Suspended

1. Clear your computer completely... this includes cookies, browsing, cache, etc. Then, download a new browser. If you haven't already, try Firefox or Opera. Ebay tracks their users with many different methods, including your browser; downloading a new browser will help ensure that Ebay is unable to track your old activity. You might want to consider using an alternate online auction web site, as eBay has gotten a bit too big for its britches in most recent years.
2. Change your IP address. This can often be accomplished by contacting your ISP or by resetting your internet connection. This process varies from ISP to ISP but is absolutely necessary. IP address is one of the most common ways that ebay catches old account users who have switched to a new account. You may have to leave your computer's router unplugged overnight or longer, but eventually, you will get a new IP address, which is your ticket to freedom.
3. It's time to create a new account! It is highly recommended that you obtain a PO Box to register your accounts under. This means you will need a new email address, new ebay screen name, new phone number (pre paid phone), new Pay Pal account, new everything. Don't use your old auctiva account, or your old image hosting account. Don't EVER attempt to log into your old account using your new "clean" browser, or Ebay will flag your account. Don't use any of your old information (name, address, etc.) or your new account will be flagged before you know it.
4. Set up a new Pay Pal account. When setting your new account, be sure to use separate banking information, and set it up with a pre-paid gift card. These are available at Walmart for $25, and you can use the card for purchases once you have associated it with your PayPal Account. Keep in mind that Ebay and Pay Pal are absolutely linked, and do exchange information back and forth, so use caution when inputting any information into either one of their systems.
5. Once your account is set up and confirmed, begin selling slowly, with small items, and gradually build yourself up to selling more items and higher priced items. Do not jump back into large sales, or expensive items or your account will be scrutinized and possibly cancelled again. Start slowly, and get back up to your usual sales, and you'll be good as new in no time. Good Luck!

What Does quot;PayPal Verifiedquot; Mean?

Validated Account
The validation process to become PayPal Verified varies from country to country. According to PayPal, the process typically means an individual or business has added and confirmed a bank account with PayPal or received approval for a PayPal Plus credit card.
Limitations Lifted
Non-verified PayPal accounts have an initial limit on how much money can be sent. For many users, when they reach $2,000 in transactions they will need to add a bank account and become Verified in order to have this limitation lifted, so they can keep making PayPal transactions.
Recognition by PayPal
Once your PayPal account is verified, anyone can type in your email address into the 'Send Money' tab to see you are a validated user. PayPal makes it clear their Verification system isn't intended to imply an endorsement of a member or a guarantee of a member's business practices. Examine any feedback customers have left about others you may be interested in doing business with.
Community Trust
A non-verified PayPal account may raise suspicion among other users; however, a Verified account may generally increase the trust others may be willing to give you as a potential merchant. By substantiating your identity, you can add to the overall security of the PayPal network.

How Do I Get My Money From Panda Research?

1. Set up a verified PayPal account. Panda Research sends payment for surveys using PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you must register for one in order to get paid for your surveys. Once you set up the account, make sure it is 'verified,' meaning that you added a verified bank account to your PayPal account.
2. Complete the required amount of surveys. In most cases, completing only a few surveys will not be adequate for payment processing. Panda Research requires that survey takers complete at least $50 worth of surveys before it will process a payment. The company processes payments in multiples of $50. For example, if you have $56.20 in your account, you would be eligible to receive a payment of $50. However, $6.20 would remain in your account until you complete more surveys and the balance again reached $50. If you have less than $50 in your account and you are wondering why you have not been paid, this could be the reason. There are no minimum and maximum quotas for the completion of surveys. However, your account should contain a balance within a six-month period. If your account balance is $0 for more than six months, Panda Research may terminate your account.
3. Complete any offers that come attached to the surveys you're working on: for example, movie rental memberships, insurance service trials, product trials and any other offers from marketing companies that participate with Panda Research. According to Panda Research's policy, it is not enough to complete the survey portion of the assignment; the attached offer must also be completed before the survey will count for payment. Once you have signed up for the offer, you must also complete the trial period associated with the survey before your payment gets processed. Many times you may see that your balance is for a certain amount; however, this does not mean that you will be paid that balance. If you did not complete the special offers, you will not receive payment despite what your account balance projects. To avoid dissappointment and payment delay, make sure you complete the required offers before submitting the survey as complete.
4. Request payment. Payment for surveys are not sent out automatically once your minimum balance is reached. According to the company's policy, payment must be requested online through your account. You will need to press the 'Request Payment' button in order to send your request once you have logged on to your Panda Research account. Once survey payment is requested, Panda Research will send your payment within 30 days of your request; a specific time period is not guaranteed. It is important to understand that Panda Research does not guarantee payment for surveys. According to the company's policy statement, there are several reasons why it may not pay for completed surveys and offers, including administrative failures, lack of appropriate information, improper sign-up, improper browser settings, errors in third-party reporting and/or any other reason.
