Can I Get a Paper Check From Paypal?

Features
PayPal has three ways to withdraw money from an account. Direct deposit to a bank account, using a PayPal-issued debit card and having PayPal send a check.
Considerations
A check may be sent to any address where you receive a credit card statement. The set-up process involves using the credit card information to confirm the address.
Alternative
If you do not have a credit card, PayPal has an alternative way to confirm your address. You must fax copies of a utility bill and your driver's license showing the address. PayPal provides a bar-coded fax cover sheet unique to your account that must accompany the documents.
Costs
PayPal has a fee of $1.50 per check to withdraw funds by check. There is no charge for electronic transfers to a bank account.
Other options
You must be a verified Paypal user to have a check sent to an address that cannot be confirmed by credit card or faxing the required documents. To become verified, you must confirm your e-mail address, and add and confirm a bank account to your PayPal account.

How to Use the Merchant ID in PayPal

1. Open a PayPal merchant account. It should be independent of any personal or premier account that is already active. However, if it is used for the business, it may be upgraded by visiting the website.
2. Provide all necessary data about the item(s) for sale. There will be quantity, drop-down menu options, etc. Selecting the style and type of button are completed at this step as well. Until altered, the email may be still referred to as the payment.
3. To work under a PayPal Merchant ID, be sure to use "hosted" or "encrypted" code. If using a "clear text" button code, use the PayPal Business ID or Merchant Referral ID. These may be found on the "Profile" link and beneath "Profile Summary." Look for Secure Merchant Account ID to replace the variable of "business" with button code by copying and pasting it. For additional instruction from the PayPal community, refer to the reference section.
