1. Go to PayPal.com and log in to your account.
2. Select the "Merchant Services" tab.
3. Click on "Subscribe" under the Buttons menu to make a recurring payment button.
4. Enter in the "Item Name" and "Item Number" (optional) for this new button. The item number is for your own record-keeping. Insert this if you plan to offer many different recurring payment plans.
5. Enter the recurring billing amount in the "Recurring amount to be billed" field.
6. Enter in the billing cycle. Select to have your customers billed once a month, once every 60 days or once every seven days, for example.
7. Hit "Create Button" to get the JavaScript code for the button.
8. Press the "Select Code" button to copy the button's code information.
9. Open the web page on which you want to insert the button with your website editing software. Then find the exact location where you want to add your button. The button code can only be added in between the body (<body></body>) tags of the web page.
10. Press "CTRL + V" to paste your code into your web page.

To update your security questions on PayPal, log in to your PayPal account at paypal.com and click on 'Edit Profile.' Next, click the 'Edit Password' link under the Account Information column on the next page. Select the radio button that corresponds to your secret questions and click 'Edit.' Enter your current password to verify your identity, then choose what secret questions you want, as well as their answers. You will need to fill out the form entirely, including the current security question that is on file. Once you have filled out the form, click 'Submit' to reset the security question. If you have forgotten any of your information, you will be unable to reset your security question and may have to open a new account.

How to Add PayPal to XOOPS
Create PayPal Donation Button
1. Log into your PayPal account and click the “Profile” tab.
2. Click the “Create new button” link under the “Selling Preferences” section.
3. Choose “Donations” from the “Accept payments” menu.
4. Click the “Create Button” button at the bottom of the page.
5. Click “Select Code” to see the button’s HTML code. This is the code for the PayPal donation button that you will need to place on your XOOPS website. You may wish to leave this web page open while you edit your website in another browser tab so that you can refer back to this code.
6. Highlight the code with your mouse, right-click and choose “Copy” from the menu.

7. Log into the control panel of your XOOPS website using your administrator account.
8. Navigate to the “System Admin” section and choose “Blocks.”
9. Create a new “HTML” block for your website.
10. Right-click inside of the block’s text box and choose “Paste” from the menu. This will paste the PayPal button code that you copied earlier.
11. Place a mark next to the “visible” option to make the block visible to “Anonymous Users.”
12. Choose the location on your website where you would like the HTML block to appear.You can select from Left, Right, Center-Center, Center-Left or Center-Right locations.
13. Click “Update Page” to save your changes to the block.
14. Navigate to the “Groups” section of the “System Admin.”
15. Click the “Modify” link next to “Anonymous Users.”
16. Locate the new HTML block in the list of blocks and place a check mark next to the block. This will allow all visitors to see your new PayPal HTML block.
17. Click “Update Page” to save your changes.
18. Visit your XOOPS website in your Internet browser to view your new PayPal button.
