How to Send Money to Tunisia
1. Determine how much money will be sent. The amount of money sent will determine the processing fees charged by most money transfer facilitators. The Tunisian government requires all amounts over USD$10,000 to be reported to authorities.
2. Find the location of a money transfer service. Sending money from a money transfer office is typically cheaper than sending it via the Internet. PayPal and Western Union allow money to be sent to people in Tunisia via their websites. If sending money online, simply follow the instructions on the website of the service of your choice. Moneygram, on the other hand, requires the sender to visit a MoneyGram agent to complete the transaction. A visit to the company website will help you find the nearest agent. If you opt to send a wire transfer from your bank instead of using MoneyGram, PayPal or Western Union, simply visit your bank to complete the transaction.
3. Go to a money transfer office and fill out the necessary form. To use MoneyGram, a Send Form must be completed. Include the sender's name, the recipient's name and address, the amount to be sent and a 10-word message. The message will be shared by the sender with the intended recipient. The intended recipient will be asked a question based on the message and if it is answered correctly, will collect the money. At Western Union, the Send Form requires the following information: the sender's name, the recipient's name and address, the amount to be sent, and a test question and answer. The test question and answer are a security protocol to ensure that only the intended recipient can collect the money.
4. Hand over the completed Send Form to the teller with the money to be transferred. A processing fee will be charged and the teller will tell you how much. To complete the transaction, pay the teller and present a valid form of personal identification.
5. Receive a reference number from MoneyGram, or a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) from Western Union. These numbers will help you track your transfer and will be used by the recipient to collect his money.
How to Sell E
Selling E-books using PayPal
1. Log in to PayPal. Search for the 'Merchant Services' button, which is located on the top banner. Click this button.
2. Click the 'Buy Now' button located under the 'Create Buttons' heading. Choose the 'products' option under the 'Accept payments for' tab. This indicates that e-books are the products being sold using PayPal.
3. Choose between the 'Add to cart' button and the 'Buy Now' buttons. The first example is for websites that have numerous products to choose from where as the secondary example is primarily focused on a singular product.
4. Write a product name and an ID that is easy to remember. The name and ID will show up on the customer's invoice. The name and ID can also be quite helpful when looking over and identifying purchase reports from PayPal.
5. Include the price of the e-book and select the proper currency. If there is only one e-book being sold, the next set of options for customization is irrelevant. Shipping is not needed either, as the e-book will be sent electronically. That section can also be avoided. Whether or not to charge tax is a personal option, but should be taken into consideration when taxes are due.
6. Click the secure option rather than the PayPal account. This is a security measure so that spam and hackers cannot easily access the PayPal information regarding purchases and monetary information.
7. Click the save button to save the PayPal button that has just been created. This could be helpful if a similar button is needed in the future. All of the preferences are then saved and can be edited at a later date if needed.
8. Avoid the next three PayPal options presented. They are irrelevant when the subject matter is an e-book. The link fields, however, are extremely important. This is the obligatory 'thank you' that the buyers will see after purchasing the e-book. This link should also provide buyers with a link to download the e-book they have just purchased. It is important that this link is not connected to a personal website, as the only method to access this website should be through PayPal and purchasing an e-book. If linked to other websites, individuals can simply access it and download the e-book without purchasing it first.
9. Click 'Create button'. PayPal will now give a code for the button that can be copied and pasted into a personal website. The code gives you the freedom to place the button where it looks the best.
Can PayPal Take Money From Your Checking Account After You Close the PayPal Account?
PayPal User Agreement
PayPal's user agreement is the contract between PayPal and you, the user. It provides the terms, actions, rights and responsibilities of both you and PayPal. The contractual language it is written in can be confusing. Many provisions in the agreement protect you: security provisions and limits on financial loss due to fraud. PayPal is protected by many of the provisions when it comes to ensuring limiting liability and its ability to collect funds owed to PayPal. It is important to know the date on which you opened your PayPal account, because the user agreement you committed to may be different from the one posted on PayPal's site today.
PayPal Privacy Policy
PayPal will not disclose your information, except internally and to other organizations that are responsible for ensuring the safety and fraud prevention services, as well as providing relevant information if law enforcement agencies requires PayPal to disclose the information. Information may be shared if any of your payments or remittances has been an error. However, PayPal will confirm transaction numbers, accounts, amounts and other information internally and try to identify the problem by giving basic information without revealing banking details to the parties involved.PayPal also indicates that it could change any of its privacy policies, and it will inform users of these changes. However, PayPal does not ask for permission when changing these policies. Still, PayPal gives protection for privacy to its users and offers discretion and confidence.
Closing a PayPal Account
To close your account, you must enter your profile. At the top of the page there is an option for 'Profile'; log in, select 'Close Account' and the system will prompt you to complete some additional steps. Before you disable your account, you may delete the numbers of your credit or debit cards and your checking account number for security. To do this, you have to log in to your profile and then go to 'Bank Accounts,' select which account numbers you want to close and you should be done. When making this decision you should know that you cannot reactivate your account. When you close your account, you erase your access to the transaction history and all kinds of transactions are suspended. You cannot delete your PayPal account if you have money in your account.
One Risk of 'Agree and Create Account'
The user agreement used to open your PayPal account may allow PayPal, in certain circumstances, to remove money from your bank account. If you signed your user agreement after Oct. 11, 2001 and before Feb. 7, 2003, you are at risk if you had linked your bank account to your PayPal account. By clicking on 'Agree and Create Account' you agreed to allow PayPal to remove funds from the linked bank account that are owed to PayPal. The user agreements from Feb. 7, 2003 forward are more vague as to if PayPal can remove funds from your bank account. However, the language in the agreements does suggest that it is a possibility if you owe PayPal money even after you close your PayPal account.
