How to Pay for Stuff With PayPal

1. Navigate to a website offering Paypal as a checkout option or click 'Payment Options' on a site to verify whether the vendor accepts PayPal. The PayPal website also offers an alphabetical list of merchants that accept PayPal.
2. Load purchases into the online shopping cart and click the 'Check Out' or 'Buy Now' button.
3. Examine the page for the 'PayPal' button for payment options. Click the button or click the 'Pay with PayPal' option on the page. Where applicable, click the 'Continue to PayPal' button.
4. Log in to your PayPal account with your email address and PayPal password. If your email address automatically fills in, verify that it is correct.
5. Read the information on the 'Review your payment' screen. This shows the company you're buying from, the total charges and the payment method. If you have enough money in your PayPal account to cover the purchase price, 'Payment Method' will show 'PayPal Balance.' If your account does not have enough money, 'Payment Method' will show the credit card or bank account number affiliated with your PayPal account.
6. Click the 'Pay Now' button. PayPal sends an automatic email to the address affiliated with your PayPal account. PayPal adds the purchase to your PayPal record, which you can verify under your account section on the main PayPal website.
