How to Set Up PayPal to Automatically Transfer Payments to a Checking Account
1. Log onto your merchant PayPal account and find the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page. Click on that link, then select the 'Help by Phone' option. That option will take you to a page that provides you with a customer-service phone number and other information, including a security PIN, that you will need to make the call.
2. Call the customer-service line and tell them that you are interested in enabling the Auto Sweep function on your PayPal merchant account. You will need to provide the customer-service representative with specifics on the account so he can research the option.
3. Allow the customer-service representative to look into Auto Sweep. If you are approved for Auto Sweep, PayPal will enable the program remotely. It will show up on your PayPal profile menu soon afterward.
4. Contact PayPal if you would like to disable Auto Sweep or have problems with the function.

How to Send Money With an Unverified PayPal Account
1. Open your web browser and allow the homepage to fully load. Type the following web address into the task bar at the top of the screen: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/send_money.
2. Type the recipient's email address in the "To" box on the right side of the screen. Type your own email address into the window marked "From" directly beneath it. Make sure the email addresses are correct or the transaction will not be able to be completed.
3. Enter in the amount of money (in U.S. dollars) that you want to send to the other individual. Check the box to determine whether or not you are sending this money in exchange for goods/services or if it is for personal reasons. Click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the screen. The site will ask to verify if the information is correct.
4. Enter in the credit card information for the account that you want the money to be drawn from on the next screen. Click "Send Money" once the information has been completely entered. The recipient will receive an email stating that you have sent him money. If he has a PayPal account with the email address to which you sent the request, the money will automatically be transferred to that account. If not, he will be prompted to create a new account to receive the funds.
Do I Need to Open a Separate Bank Account for My eBay Business?
Business Income
While you may think of your eBay sales as a simple sideline or a way to get rid of that old cuckoo clock, the IRS constitutes those sales as business income. Setting up a separate bank account makes it easier to keep track of that business income and keep it separate from your personal earnings.
Tracking Income
Tracking the income you make on eBay is essential, and a business account can make that a lot easier. When running your eBay business you need to account for the expenses imposed by eBay and by Paypal, since those charges can really add up. If you have a separate bank account just for your eBay business, you can easily determine how much you made, net of expenses, for each of your auctions.
Tracking Expenses
Tracking the expenses associated with your eBay business is essential, and it is much easier to keep track of your costs if you have a separate bank account. For instance, many sellers on eBay buy products specifically to resell on the site. By using a separate bank account to buy those items, you can easily track how much it costs you to host each auction.
Simpler Accounting
Setting up a separate bank account for your eBay business makes your tax planning and tax preparation a lot easier. No matter how small your eBay earnings may be, the IRS still considers those sales to be income. If you fail to report that income, you are inviting an inquiry, and possibly even an audit, by the IRS. Starting on January 1, 2011, Paypal is required to report transaction information for large account holders, currentlyl defined as those who do at least $20,000 worth of business and receive at least 200 transactions. If this new law affects you it is imperative that you establish a separate bank account for your eBay business.
Paypal Concerns
If you sell on eBay you receive payment for your auctions through Paypal. This payment system allows buyers to pay for their purchases using a bank account or credit card number, and it also provides buyers with protection from fraud and shoddy merchandise. While this is a good thing, if there is a dispute regarding one or more of your auctions, Paypal could temporarily freeze your account. If you have a separate account for your eBay business, you can link only that account to Paypal. That way if a dispute does arise, only that account is affected. If you link your personal account to Paypal, you could lose access to those funds while Paypal completes its investigation.

How to Build a Chat Website and Charge Membership
1. Build your site as you would normally using HTML or another programming language. You can even just create a very simple HTML page with simple code and little content like 'Welcome to Our Chat Room' for the moment (see References for a simple example).
2. Find a chat services provider, like ChattersOnline.com or ParaChat.com. Check with your web hosting company first because it may also offer you this feature free. Install the script on your homepage by simply copying and pasting the code into your HTML homepage file.
3. Sign up for an account with a membership services site like AuthPro.com, SentryLogin.com or CoffeeCup.com (see Resources). These services offer convenient, easy-to-use online software to password-protect your site, request payment from visitors and manage your users.
4. Fill out information about your site, including the entry URL that people will see when they log in (the chat room landing page from Step 1) and your decision to require payment from customers. The membership services provider will save your settings and give you a link to your registration and login page.
5. Select the option to enable payment processing on your membership services account. This will allow you to configure the service to work with PayPal to accept payments. Set the subscription terms, including the price, and whether this will be a regular subscription or a one-time payment.
6. Sign up for a business PayPal account (see Resources). Click 'Profile' on your dashboard, then 'Instant Payment Notification' (also called IPN). Click 'Edit IPN' and then enter the payment notification URL that was given to you by your membership services provider.
7. Retrieve your PayPal button from the configuration area of your membership services account and add it to your website where visitors can pay and register for your chat site. (You can also create and use your own button image called 'Register to Chat Now' to make the action clearer for your visitors.) When someone clicks that link, he will automatically be sent to your PayPal payment page.
8. Set your registration page, which your membership services provider will give you, as the URL where the user will go after she successfully completes payment. With some services, the username and password will be generated automatically, so you can just link the person directly to the login page. Your settings in Step 4 should send the user directly to the chat landing page after she has logged in.
9. Paste the password protection code, which your membership services provider will give you, into the header area of your chat landing page so that only paid users who have logged in can access it.
10. Create another link or button titled 'Chat Now' in your image design program for people who have already registered previously. Post it on your homepage. When a user clicks your 'Chat Now' button, it should take him to your login page.
