How to Dispute PayPal Charges


Dispute with Seller
1. Login to your PayPal account using your username and password. Click "Report a Problem" to open a dispute. Detail the dispute information, and post the message to the seller. Buyers must wait seven days before filing a claim for an item that was not received.
2. Review the seller's response message. Close the dispute if an agreement is reached with the seller. PayPal allows 20 days to resolve a claim between the buyer and seller.
3. File a PayPal claim by clicking "File a claim with PayPal" in your account, and PayPal will investigate the claim. Paypal has 30 days to offer a decision on a claim, issue any refunds and close the dispute.
Unauthorized Charges
4. Login to your PayPal account using your username and password.
5. Click "Report a Problem" in your paypal account if the charge was for unauthorized activity, and describe the dispute. PayPal will review your claim within ten days, and refund your money to your credit card, bank or paypal account if the transaction was unauthorized.
6. Contact your bank directly regarding the unauthorized charges if you disagree with PayPal's decision and still want to dispute the charge.

How to Find Your PayPal Transaction Number


1. Access the Internet and navigate to the PayPal.com website.
2. Log into the PayPal site using your full email address and password.
3. Locate the transaction for which you need to obtain a transaction number from the 'My Recent Activity' list, which appears onscreen automatically.If the transaction for which you need to obtain a transaction number is more than one week old, click the 'View All Of My Transactions' list to see all older transactions in chronological order.
4. Click the 'Details' link across from the transaction for which you need the transaction number. This will load a new screen titled 'Transaction Details.'

1. Log into your PayPal Account.
2. You should automatically be brought to your 'Account Summary Page.' If you are not, click on the tab that says 'My Account.'
3. Scroll down your 'Recent Activity.'
4. Look for items that say 'Print Shipping Label.' Beside the 'Print Shipping Label,' you will see the status of your payment. Ignore any names that say 'Pending' because you haven't been paid yet. You don't want to ship something until you have the money.

10. You will be brought to another page. This is your packing slip. Scroll down until you see a button that says 'Print.'
11. Click on the 'Print' button. If you want a backup copy, then print this page twice.
12. Go back to your 'My Account' page, and start over with the next item you have sold.

How to Downgrade from a Business Account in PayPal


1. Visit Paypal's website. Type in your name and password to log in.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of your account page. Click the 'Contact Us' link.
3. Click the 'Email Us' link under the section labeled '2: Find Answers Here.' This loads new options in the panel on the right.
4. Click the drop-down box beneath 'Topic,' and select 'My Account.'
5. Click the drop-down box beneath 'Subtopic,' and select 'Changing Account Type.'
6. Click 'Downgrade My Account' in the box beneath 'Select from the Following.' This opens a new 'Message' box.
7. In 'Message' box, detail your reason for downgrading your PayPal account, and be specific about your account needs.
8. Click the orange 'Submit' button to send your message to PayPal representatives. When your account downgrade goes through, PayPal sends you a confirmation message.

How to Send Money to South Korea


1. Log on to PayPal.com. If you don't have a PayPal account, click 'Sign Up' at the top of the screen, then enter your email account, select a password and fill in the remainder of the information. Your email will be used as your login name. Log into your account and select 'Add Funds.' Type in the routing and account numbers of your checking account, followed by the name on the account, the account type and the home address for the account. Type in the amount of money you wish to send and click 'OK.' It will take a few days for the money to transfer from your bank account into PayPal. Once the money appears in your PayPal account, click 'Withdraw' followed by 'Transfer to Account.' Type in the banking account information for the bank in South Korea, the name on the account and all other requested information. Once the account is verified, type in the amount of money you wish to send and click 'OK.' It will take a few days for the money to transfer, but once it does, the funds will be deposited into the South Korean bank account.
2. Navigate to the Western Union website. Western Union allows you to send money directly to a South Korean bank account (instead of using PayPal) and functions faster. However, you will be charged a fee (a minimum of $5 per transaction). Click 'Register,' then fill in all the required information, including your bank account or credit card information. After you are finished select 'Send Money,' then choose 'South Korea' as the country you want to send the money to. Enter in the recipient's full name and choose a Western Union location near her home or place of business. Type in the amount of money you want to send and click 'Submit.' The money order is placed and the recipient can pick up her money as long as she has a government-issued ID.
3. Navigate to MoneyGram.com. Select 'Send Online,' choose 'South Korea' as the country you want to send the money to and enter the total you want to send. Select the date you want the money to be transferred (including the same day). Click 'next,' then choose the location you want to send the money to in South Korea. Type out your payment information and click 'Submit.' The money order is placed, and the recipient can stop by his local payment facility, show a state-issued ID and pick up the funds.

How to Change a Credit Card on a PayPal Account


1. Go to the Paypal website (www.paypal.com) and sign in with your Paypal account.
2. Move your mouse over the subheading 'Profile' and select 'Add or Edit Credit Card' from the drop-down menu. If you do not see 'Profile,' check to see if the heading 'My Account' is selected. If it is not, click 'My Account' and then the 'Profile' link will appear.
3. Select the credit card you want to edit by clicking 'Edit' on the right hand side next to the desired card.
4. Edit any information for the card that you want to update. You will need to re-enter the credit card security code, which is the thee-digit code printed on the back of the card, to make any updates.
5. Click 'Save' when you are finished and wait while Paypal checks your credit card information. When the next screen loads, you will be informed whether the update was successful.

1. Navigate to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
2. Click the "Status: Verified" link below your name at the top of the website.
3. Click the "Manually" link next to the PayPal Verified button to display the button code.
4. Highlight and copy the complete HTML code in the box below the PayPal Verified button.
5. Navigate to the website where you want to display the button and access the HTML file for your website or auction.
6. Paste the entire HTML code into the HTML file and save your changes.
