How to Use PayPal amp; Flash

1. Set up a free PayPal account. This requires that you give either your Social Security number or business tax ID number. The money that comes into your PayPal account is taxable income. There are no tax deductions by PayPal, but they will send you a 1099 form each January and a duplicate to the IRS.
2. Look under the 'Merchant Services' tab on your PayPal account to find a button image to install on your website, for example, 'Pay Now' or 'Pay by Credit Card.' Select the one you want, and save it on your computer with the 'Save As' option. Name the saved image anything you want, but keep the file extension. While you are still in the 'Merchant Services' tab, look for something called the 'PayPal Payment Gateway' URL. Write it down or copy it to a clipboard because you will need it later.
3. Log on to your Flash account, and go to where you want to install the button that links to PayPal. Upload the button image by going to the Flash file directory and selecting the 'Upload' option. Choose the 'Browse' option, and choose the name of the file on your computer where you stored the button image.
4. Click on the installed image of the button inside your Flash editor. Select the 'Action Script' option. You are now going to link your button to PayPal. In the Action Script window, type the following:on (press) {getURL ('PayPal Payment Gateway');}Replace PayPal Payment Gateway with the URL you saved (it starts with http://).
5. Save your work, close your files and test your new button by buying something.

PayPal Debit Card Tips

Cash Benefits
When you get your debit card, sign up for PayPal's Preferred Rewards program. This program provides one percent cash back when you use a credit option rather than entering your PIN number to pay for purchases. Consider adding your bank checking or savings account as a free back-up funding option to ensure you can still use your card even if you do not have sufficient funds to pay for a purchase.
Student Cards
The PayPal debit card carries the option to apply for a student card for your child. If the child lives away from home or attends college, this is an easy and instant way to transfer money from your PayPal account to your child. Another feature allows you to monitor how your child is spending the money you send by allowing you access to his transaction summary. Except for an ATM fee, there are no fees for setting up or using a student debit card account.
Cautions
If you use your debit card to pay for gas, pay inside rather than at the pump. Using your card at the pump may be convenient, but a process called pre-authorization can tie up funds for up to five days. Pre-authorization is a way PayPal verifies you have money in account to pay for a gas purchase, but clearing the pre-authorization charge does not happen immediately. Understand that if you use your PayPal debit card at an ATM or in an over the counter transaction at your bank, PayPal will charge additional fees. As of 2011, the ATM fee is $1 per transaction and using your card to get cash at a bank will cost $3 per transaction.
Considerations
Pay attention to PayPal debit card spending limits to avoid a decline of your purchase or ATM request. As of 2011, PayPal places a daily spending limit of $3,000 and ATM limit of $400 on debit card transactions. Make sure that if you move, you update profile information. When your PayPal card comes close to its expiration date, PayPal will automatically send you a new card to the address in your account profile. If your address is incorrect, the post office will not use a forwarding address, but rather will send the card back to PayPal.

How to Return an Item Purchased on PayPal

1. Ask the seller via email or telephone if you can return the item and if the company will pay for return shipping. Inquire about additional policies, such as including a reason for the return or the original invoice.

3. Click the blue 'My Account' tab at the top of the screen, then click 'History.'
4. Scroll down and find the payment corresponding to your purchase, then click the 'Details' link next to 'Payment Status.'

7. Take the item and label to your nearest post office. Ask the clerk to pad the item, if necessary, and box it. Include any additional items required by the seller.

How to Put a PayPal Link on Your Website

Instructions
1. Log in to the PayPal account that will receive the funds from the PayPal link. This should be a personal or business account that you have already set up.
2. Click on the 'Merchant Services' tab. This tab should be visible right after you log in--the fourth tab from the left.
3. Click on the link for the type of PayPal button you want to create. For this example we will use one of the simplest: 'Buy Now.'
4. Fill in the fields for your button. You must at least fill in 'Item Name' and 'Price,' as they are required. 'Item Name' should describe what the person is receiving from you when they click the button. 'Price' should be the amount of money that will be transferred when the button is clicked. You may want to explore some of the other fields at this point. You may skip the items marked 'Step 2' and 'Step 3' completely if you like.
5. Click on 'Create Button' at the bottom of the screen to create the code for a basic button. This will take you to a new screen that will contain the HTML code you need to paste in to your web page.
6. Copy the generated HTML code to your clipboard by clicking the 'Select Code' button, right-clicking the selected text and selecting 'Copy.'
7. Log in to your website editing tool and navigate to the place where you want to place the PayPal button. Be sure you are in a place that will allow HTML code to be inserted.
8. Paste the PayPal HTML code that you copied into the HTML.
9. Save the web page.

1.
You must have an account to use a bank's wire services.

2.
Money Gram and Western Union both accept cash.
Use MoneyGram or Western Union if you don’t have a bank account. Both accept cash. Present your cash and a transmittal form (provided for you at the service counter) containing the name and contact information of the person receiving the money. You will find service counters in supermarkets, gas stations and pharmacies around the country. To find one near you, go to WesternUnion.com or MoneyGram.com. Minimum wire transfer fees for both MoneyGram or Western Union range from $4.95 to $9.99. Maximum fees depend on the amount of money being sent.
3.
Transferring money online has low-cost convenience.
Save money and time by sending money through an online wire transfer service. While your bank, Western Union and MoneyGram offer online wire transfer options, PayPal charges less. If you sign up for a free PayPal account and fund your transfer with a credit or debit card, you'll pay 3.4 percent of the total transaction plus 30 cents. PayPal charges no fee if you have a PayPal account and use it or your bank account to fund the wire transfer. Once you have set up a free account at PayPal.com, look for its 'send money' link to get started with your wire transfer.
